Those familiar with Persian, or Iranian, cuisine are aware that it is a creative, delicious and hearty one. It is also very old and has influenced the cuisines of its Middle Eastern neighbors. Many very familiar foods have their roots in Persian culture. For example, did you know that Persians were the first in the world to eat an icy treat that later evolved into ice cream? The kebab, a Middle Eastern favorite, was also born in Persia. The distant ancestor of the cookie even appeared in Persia many hundreds of years ago – and where would we all be without cookies?

However, many fantastic Persian dishes remain largely unknown to Western diners. Here at Reyhan Restaurant, we love to introduce our amazing cuisine to the uninitiated. We also enjoy providing a traditional Persian meal to those who know and adore these dishes already! We use authentic recipes and ingredients, including lemon, mint, lamb and eggplant, so if you close your eyes, you may find yourself transported to a place beneath the pistachio trees or in the middle of a Persian saffron field...

To new customers, our extensive menu may seem overwhelming! It helps to start with one of our appetizers, which contain some classic Persian elements. Our hot appetizers are based on roasted eggplant, and our chilled appetizers are centered on yogurt. Try one of each! Lavash wraps may be familiar to lovers of Middle Eastern food. Our Koobideh Lavash Wrap, however, is distinctly Persian: Koobideh is ground beef that has been seasoned and grilled. We then wrap it in a soft lavash with onions, cilantro and parsley. We serve a huge variety of kabobs, including Cornish Hen, Salmon and Koobideh kabobs. These can be served by themselves or with saffron basmati rice. Other entrees include Chenjeh, or filet mignon; Ghormeh Sabzi, which is a beef stew with lemon and beans; and Chicken Soltani, with chicken, filet mignon and ground beef. It is sure to satisfy.

We hope to serve you soon!
